Steamdeck is very hit and miss with emulation

All Dyson's I've seen we're not designed to be repaired, not even by Dyson. My conclusion is, the reason they are so expensive is, you are paying for the replacement. In Oz, if it doesn't work within the 12 month period, Dyson just give you another one with another 12 months. I know somebody that has had at least 3 Cordless Vax's !, either switch or battery fault in every one

Hey Steve. If you are looking for good solder buy one which ist licensed for aircraft repairing. There ist still lead in it.

So, the reason these cost 400£ is not the superior technology, or the very genius inventor of an actually smart product. It's just the very expensive and tedious assembly process that is required to follow the guidelines of who ever is in charge of designing the silly looks of the Dyson product (and the marketing department) that make them so expensive.

I don't know if anyone else said it but I would have just drilled a hole through the middle of that white piece and fed the wire through it with the knot in one side.

Better to use a plastic bottle cap to soak the screws,uses a lot less vinegar.

I had the cable of a hairdryer go faulty at the mains plug end, the cable actually caught fire! oops

Everything from Dyson either sucks or blows, but not in the right way. Sad for Singapore, which is actually a nice place. Shame they took in the Dyson brand.

Someone bought a 400 quid hairdryer, to then sell it for 75 and then probably buy another one for 20 quid that will last 10+ years... Not only Dyson takes us for fools... We are!!!!

I suspect you cleared a solder bridge on that chip that looked dodgy, and that fixed the issue.

Always add your own emulation software, apps and games yourself. The reason for my opinion is you can get multiple updated builds for your system and choose your own optimized games.

We had some ghd hair tongues that failed for the same reason, the cable became damaged at the point it went into the unit. Luckily, it was much easier to open up and you can buy replacement cables. They really need to stop making things that can't be repaired easily. Just not good for the environment.

Is it still waterproof? Looks like the strain relief was also a water barrier for use around the sink. You might consider some caulk-like water barrier.

I think your missing circuit board thats why those cables are unhooked

I see everybody slamming the price and build quality of this hairdryer, however, I bought one for my wife 6 1/2 years ago and it’s still going strong, never gone wrong and zero filter issues. I don’t have to wake up to a ridiculously loud hairdryer. £400 is nothing to me and 6 1/2 years use is double my expected lifetime for it. Just in case you’re curious why I’m watching this video, I like watching video where people fix stuff, it was just coincidence that it was this dryer.

I got the same unbearable noise with my Eufy I just replaced the twirl brush in the middle and the problem was solved.

I don't know why.... But I can perfectly how the cable has been wound up in directly in a 180° turn straight around the hairdryer. 🤡

Would be interesting to see you buy electronics from car boot as they are probably broken half the time

given that the traces are sort of washed out/different colour than the other 2, i would say it's a cheap chinese knock off, that probably never worked...

Shine a torch from the underside, it should show you the traces…
